Start the tour by crossing Lisbon’ suspension bridge  to  the  southern  bank  of  Tagus  River – (this magnificent engineering work has remarkable resemblances  to the Golden Gate bridge in San  Francisco).

Drive to the charming village of Azeitão for a visit to the JMF winery, one of the oldest  Family of Wine producers and distributers in Portugal of several excellent table wines from properties in different parts of the country, Among their most famous wines are – the Lancers Rosé wine and the unique  “Moscatel “ a generous wine produced in this area of Mediterranean micro climate – The Moscatel can be consumed chilled as an aperitif or as an after dinner drink “chambré” (room temperature). Their newest success is the alcohol free - Lancers Rosé wine, presented this summer.  After a visit to the century old wine cellars the guests are invited to taste the wine.

Stop  at  a nearby  small  tile  factory,  you are welcome to  learn  the  traditional process, dating  from  the 18th century,  of manufacturing and hand painting tiles. Paint your own tile and have it delivered at your hotel the next day.

Lunch will take place at Palmela Castle, nestled within the village of  Palmela  and located on the top of an imposing hill,  from where breathtaking and  extensive  views  spreading out  across the Tagus and Sado rivers basins can be enjoyed.
